Since Independence day is on a Sunday this year we celebrated on the 3rd of July. We spent the day with the boys and enjoyed the sun and fireworks.
I had fun making Carter a "Red, White and Blue" velcro belt to go with his festive plaid shorts.
We went to Manchester MI foreworks and Carter had a great time playing football and baseball with his dad and an "new" found friend that he made. He was a happy boy all night!
Chris did have to venture into the "port-a-potty" and if you can see from the LONG line in the blurry picture (sorry) that potty got a work out. Being that this was Carter's first time in one of those (I try at all costs to avoid them) he went to the bathroom and after leaving said to his dad, "Dad, did the horse go to the bathroom in here?" The potties were FULL! Chris had to contain the laughter!
Carter loved catching fireflies and wanted to bring them home. He was sad to see that they were dead before the end of the fireworks display. "But I wanted to bring them home and put them under my pillow!?"
Eli enjoyed the fireworks from the comforts of his swaddle blanket and his car seat! He slept right through all of the fireworks! We had a great night and enjoyed celebrating together!!!
