Summer Fun..."Thumbs up Dude!"

We are having a great summer...so much to write about and so much to do!!!  My boys are keeping me busy and I am loving being home with them!!!  Eli is 14 weeks old and Carter just turned 3!  I am one proud mom and I feel so blessed to have this chance right now in my life to be entrusted by the Lord to raise these special spirits!!!  I will find some time this week to tell you more about what we have been up to!!!  But things are buzzzzing around the Edward's house!!!  Love it!

Happy 3rd Birthday Carter

Carter turned 3 on June 7th 2010.  It was a fun day!  Uncle Jamie along with Jon, Becca and Lillia were all in town to celebrate with us.  We went to the "Tree House" to play and then came back to the house and met up with Grandma and Grandpa Edwards to open gifts and have cake and ice cream!  I made a picnic cake with ant cupcakes.  (All egg-free of course).  Carter felt so special and got way to many gifts!  Thanks everyone for the great gifts and wonderful company!!!  My baby boy is getting so BIG...

Meeting a member of the Quorum of the 12 Apostles....

Today we had the chance to listen and meet Elder David A. Bednar a member of the Quorum of the twelve Apostles.  We started preparing to meet and hear from him weeks ago.  We talked about aspostles and facts about Elder Bednar last week for Family Home Evening.  Carter got so excited to learn about him and pray for him that whenever anyone said prayer this week Carter took it upon himself to make sure we were ALL praying for him.

We listened to the voice of this apostle today and even got the opportunity to shake his hand.  Carter had an experience that he will never forget.  Carter is so impressionable and loves to learn about the gospel.  On this Father's day, the father's were challenged by not only the stake president Rick DeVries but also by Elder Bednar to ask their children what they can do better as fathers.  So Chris asked Carter after his nap today and this was his response...."teach me the gospel and teach me to hit baseballs!"     He was so sincere in his request to his father and out of the mouth of a 3 year old, he asked his dad to teach him the gospel. Though we work hard to teach him the gospel, we felt strongly that he truly desires to learn about Jesus!  Carter...Thank you for your sweet spirit and Christlike attributes, to keep your parents on track!!!  We feel so blessed today!  Thank you Elder Bednar for your inspired words!!

Happy Father's Day!!!

Happy Father's Day to the BEST DAD around!!!  We love you Chris for all you do!
Eli and Carter love you so much!!!!

12 Weeks Old and "ROLLING"

Eli has turned 12 weeks old and he is just as pleasant as can be!  Just last night when I layed his down to take a picture he surprised me by rolling over!  I am not sure I am ready for movement from my little guy, but he is ready!  He is already trying to sit up-whether it is on your lap-in the bouncey seat-or in the swing.  He wants to see al the action.  And believe me...THERE IS ACTION at our house!  Carter loves entertaining him and making him belly laugh.  He just wants him to be able to play so badly!  Thankfully Eli is VERY tolerant of his brother's ROUGH love!  None the less it IS love!  We all love this little boy and can't get enough of his GRINS and GIGGLES!

Cloth diapering is still going quite well!  No rashes, BLOW-OUTS or issues so far!  I am sold.  Though Chris watched the 2 boys all by himself yesterday and he was busted with the "emergency" disposable diapers we use when either we are traveling or grandmas come over.  So, I think at times he is still a little nervous about them!  But the cost savings has been GREAT!  Plus my baby boy has fun and colorful diapers, which I LOVE!
