9 Months old December 13th

Eli turned 9 months old the day we left for Omaha Nebraska for my sister Emily's wedding.  He weighed in at 19lbs 15 ounces...Yes he is 20 lbs.  Carter was 20lbs at 13 months!  They are two different boys.  He was in the 37th percentile for weight for age and 70 something percentile for height.  "Long and lean" were the words of the Dr. One thing they did find was an extra roll on the right side between his bum and leg.  This is something they screen for when they are looking for hip dysplasia.  She seemed to think that it would likely be nothing but ordered a hip xray just in case. We will keep you posted.

Eli is just a HAPPY little boy.  He is always smiling and gives everyone a toothy grin!  Before his 9 month well baby check up I took him in to check on the annoying cough that seemed to be lingering,  The Dr said he had an ear infection and asked, "has he been fussy?"  He is rarely fussy even with an ear infection.

He just started walking around everything.  He walks behind is cart, around the couch, plays on his train table and is SO proud of himself.  But just today he let go and fell flat.  Walking is just weeks away I am afraid.

He says, "Mama", "Dada", "Baba" and babbles all the time.
He loves to take toys from his brother.
Annoys the dog.
Still loves to be swaddled
Is still SO TICKLISH....if you even pretend to tickle him he squirms and belly laughs
Loves when his daddy comes home
Best buddies with his brother Carter

He is such a JOY!!!  Don't mind the sore on his face.  This was a little skin issue Santa brought.  (I had a cold sore and he had a small opening in his skin on his forehead and I kissed him...you guessed it...he got it all over his head...poor kid!  But he didn't complain one bit!"
